Our Decarbonization Strategy
Aurelian Oil & Gas has established a clear roadmap to reduce our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Our primary focus is on reducing our Scope and Scope emissions.
Energy Efficiency: We are conducting massive energy efficiency audits at our refineries, pipeline compressor stations, and extraction sites. By upgrading to more efficient turbines, optimizing heat integration in our refineries, and electrifying field operations, we are significantly reducing our own energy consumption and, therefore, our emissions.
Flaring and Venting Reduction: We have a zero routine flaring policy. We are investing in vapor recovery units at our storage facilities and extraction sites to capture fugitive emissions and reroute them for use as fuel gas, turning a waste stream into a value stream.
Renewable Integration: We are actively installing on-site solar generation at our facilities, such as our Warsaw headquarters and refinery operations, to power our own operations with clean energy, reducing our Scope emissions.
